The UGRG is committed to the support and promotion of urban geography as an intellectual field and sub-discipline. We are a team of scholars from different parts of the world, with diverse research interests, adopting diverse methods and asking different questions. However, we all take the urban as our starting point: we recognise it as a diverse, complex and relational realm. We are committed to developing constructive dialogue between different analytical, theoretical and methodological traditions of urban geography and urban studies, and to increase the profile of underrepresented urban geographers.
