The RGS-IBG Urban Geography Research Group (UGRG; https://ugrg.co.uk/) is inviting proposals for sessions to be sponsored by us at the RGS-IBG Annual International Conference 2023 (https://www.rgs.org/research/annual-international-conference/).
Session sponsorship means a session is branded in the conference programme with the Research Group’s name, and will be promoted through our Research Group networks. Unfortunately, session sponsorship does not include financial sponsorship.
The RGS-IBG Annual International Conference 2023 will take place in London and online, from Tuesday 29 August 2023 to Friday 1 September 2023. The conference will be chaired by Professor Harriet Bulkeley (Durham University, UK) on the theme Climate changed geographies.
We encourage creative formats and invite proposals for session sponsorship that engage with the conference theme, and aspects of urban geographies. Given that UGRG’s concerns cut across a number of research groups, co-sponsorship of sessions by UGRG and other Research Groups is possible. In the online form, please provide us with the following details of your session:
- session title
- name, affiliation and email of session organiser(s)
- abstract (200-300 words)
- session format: in-person, online, hybrid (limited capacity this year)
- session type: e.g. papers, panel discussion, lightning talks
- no. of timeslots (maximum two timeslots, each lasting for 1 hour 40 minutes)
- name of co-sponsoring Research Group(s), if applicable
The UGRG committee will review the applications and inform session organisers of decisions by *Wednesday 8 March 2023.
Once a sponsorship decision has been made, please send the full session details to the RGS-IBG by *Friday 24 March 2023 (with all proposed papers and presenters).
